Zimbabwe Star (IANS) Friday 3rd February, 2012

Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter dedicated a song to his late sister Leslie Carter and got emotional while performing the song.

Leslie, 25, died Jan 31 at her upstate New York home. Reports said she suffered a prescription drug overdose and was found unconscious in the shower by her stepmother, contactmusic.com reported.

Before the performance at New York's Irving Plaza Thursday night, the singer expressed grief by dedicating a song to his late sister and said: "I never thought I'd ever have to, but I'd like to dedicate this song to my sister."

The star was extremely emotional throughout the performance and had moist eyes by the end of it, E! Online reported.
