Drug lab busted in Siberian court building

Zimbabwe Star (IANS) Friday 3rd February, 2012

Police in Russia's Siberia region have uncovered a drug lab in the same building that has a court just one storey below it.

The Siberian News Agency said Friday the lab was discovered in Khakassia republic.

"The apartment owner took precautions to keep his secret from neighbours, the kitchen's ventilation slot was covered by thick paper and the drug lab itself was in the bedroom," the agency said.

The 30-year-old apartment owner and five others, all under the influence of drugs, were detained in the apartment.

Police said they seized equipment and materials used to produce drugs, including large packs of poppy seeds.

Four days ago marked two decades since Ratko Mladic became the commander of the main staff of the army of Republika Srpska - the VRS. On that day, Mladic began his full participation in a criminal endeavour that was already in progress. On that day, he assumed the mantle of realising through military might the criminal goals of ethnically cleansing much of Bosnia. On that day he commenced his direct involvement in serious international crimes.
