WINDHOEK, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Hosts Namibia on Thursday announced a 14-man squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier playoffs to be held here from March 26 to April 5.
Namibia, the United States, Canada, Jersey, Papua New Guinea, and the United Arab Emirates will compete in the playoff, Cricket Namibia announced at a media briefing.
The playoff, which is two steps away from the World Cup, will be played in two venues, the Wanderers Ground and United Ground, both in Windhoek, the country's capital.
The top two teams will reach the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier to be hosted in Zimbabwe from June 18 to July 9.
The Namibian squad will be captained by Gerhard Erasmus, ICC Men's Associate Cricketer of the Year 2022.
